Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Mat 24:36-44

"Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Create a script for the story with each sentence on a separate line. Clip this on a clipboard and attach a pen to the clipboard with some string or yarn. Explain: “We will read through the story one sentence at a time. The story is on this clipboard. Each of us will have one sentence to read. After reading your sentence, put a check mark by it and then pass the clipboard to the person next to you. That way the person will know where to start. If you are learning how to read, I will be happy to help you. When you are not reading, your job is to be a good listener. It takes good listening to be a good storyteller. I will go first…” If there are more children than sentences, go through the story twice.
