Epworth’s Scripture by Heart Ministry was born in June, 2010. Seven storytellers were trained in preparation for Epworth’s “Christmas in July” observance on July 25, 2010, where they told the Christmas story by heart at the Blended, Traditional, and Contemporary services. Since then, the team has grown and Scripture by Heart is presented at least monthly at all three services. Training is offered on a regular basis. A goal of the leaders is to include Epworth’s youth in the program as well.
